Founded by David Mulvaney in 1995, Mulvaney & Co., Inc. has built majority of its homes in Pelican Hill and Pelican Point, Newport Beach, CA. Mulvaney & Co., Inc. limits the amount of custom homes it crafts each year, allowing the necessary time to provide one-on-one service with the homeowner and follow each project closely, monitoring the time schedule and the budget.
In the late eighties, early nineties, David Mulvaney worked as a developer mastering in land acquisition and product design, conquering the first fully automated, energy efficient community in the world. He planned lot sub-divisions and remained dedicated through the sale of each custom home built. In 1995 David found his true joy in building. Leaving the developing industry behind he founded Mulvaney & Co., Inc. to craft Custom Homes of rarified quality for specific clients and provide a tight nit team/family of Architect, Home Owner, and General Contractor. After twenty-eight years in the industry, Mulvaney continues to bring Personal Commitment, Quality, Enthusiasm, Authenticity and Integrity together to bring dreams to reality, making the experience of building every custom home memorable.
Mulvaney & Co., Inc. has also been closely affiliated with a non-profit organization that has brought considerable recognition to our detailed work. Project Playhouse has allowed the public to enjoy and visually see the demand to detail that Mulvaney & Co., Inc. not only requires in its Custom Homes but also its miniature masterpieces. Shipwrecked on Fashion Island, Mulvaney & Co.’s year 2000 playhouse, garnished the cover of Builder & Developer magazine for the month of October 2000. Shortly after the completion of Shipwrecked on Fashion Island, David began to compile ideas for the coming year of 2001. David challenges his playhouse team to strive to achieve new ground for each coming year. The commitment to his challenge would show in his 2001 playhouse, Tom Sawyer’s River House. Built to specifications of the Universal Design, Tom Sawyer’s River House was planned to accommodate children of all abilities. This concept adopted by the city of Irvine, CA, allows homebuyers to customize and design their homes to better accommodate family members and guests of all ages and abilities. Mulvaney & Co.’s miniature masterpiece of 2001 was displayed on the cover of the Southern California Builder magazine, December 2001 edition. Tom Sawyer’s River House swept all of the Grand Awards including Peoples Choice and shattered the prior auction record by more than double.
